Mercury indicator powder is a simple way to check if surfaces are contaminated with mercury.  The indicator powder reacts with mercury vapour turning darker if mercury is detected. Sprinkle the powder onto the surface and leave for 24 hours.  If mercury is detected the powder will change colour.  The area can then be decontaminated using our Mercury Spill Kit. If no mercury is present the powder can be cleaned away with a damp paper towel. Sprinkler pack containing 85g of mercury indicator powder, allowing for up to 30 test areas.
